These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services provided by M M Pilates & Barre Luzern (hereinafter “the Studio”). By booking or participating in a class, event, or private session, the participant accepts these GTC. The Studio reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. The version published online at the time of booking applies.
Each new participant is entitled to one trial class at the special rate of CHF 20.
The trial class must be booked in advance and paid in cash, via TWINT, or bank transfer before the lesson. Further participation requires regular registration and payment according to Sections 3 and 4.
All lessons, subscriptions, and private trainings must be paid in full before the start of the month. Payments are accepted only by TWINT or in cash. All subscriptions are personal, non-transferable, non-cancellable, and non-refundable, except in the cases described under Section 6 (Illness or Accident). Participation in classes is only possible after payment has been received.
Lessons must be reserved and confirmed via email. Participants are required to re-register every month if they wish to continue attending classes in the following month. A place in the group is not automatically guaranteed without re-registration and payment before the new month begins.
Group Lessons:
Single lessons can be cancelled by email up to 4 hours in advance without charge.
Cancellations made later than 4 hours before class start will be fully charged.
For monthly subscriptions, individual lesson cancellations are not possible, except in case of illness (medical certificate required).
Private Lessons:
Can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance by email.
Later cancellations incur a CHF 50 fee.
If no cancellation occurs, the session will be billed in full.
In case of illness or accident, active subscriptions may be extended for up to 12 weeks. A written request and a medical certificate must be submitted by email within one week of the incident. Requests received after this deadline cannot be considered.
The Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or sudden illness of the instructor). Customers will be informed promptly by email, SMS, or telephone.
No compensation claims arise from such cancellations; prepaid lessons will be credited.
Group training subscriptions are valid for one month at a time. The monthly price is adjusted based on the Canton of Lucerne school holidays. Customers will receive a confirmation email with all lesson dates at least one week before the start of the new month. If a participant cannot attend all dates, they may choose not to renew for the following month and instead book single lessons.
Group classes take place with a minimum of three (3) participants. If only one person is registered, the Studio reserves the right to cancel the class. In such a case, the participant will be informed and refunded.
Packages of 5 private lessons are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.
Unused lessons expire after this period.
The Studio reserves the right to adjust course offerings (including instructors), prices, and opening hours at any time. Changes will be communicated by email and/or on the Studio website. No refunds will be issued due to such changes.
Before participating, all clients must complete a registration and health questionnaire truthfully and completely. This information is necessary to assess health risks. Registration becomes binding upon submission. All information will be treated confidentially.
The Studio complies with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (nFADP).
Personal data provided during registration (name, contact details, health information) will be securely stored and not shared with unauthorized third parties.
Email addresses may be used for personal communication and Studio updates.
Participants may request deletion of their data in writing at any time, provided no legal retention obligations apply.
Participation in all classes and events is at the participant’s own risk. The Studio declines any liability for accidents, injuries, or property damage occurring on its premises or at external venues. Participants are responsible for their own health and accident insurance. The Studio assumes no liability for loss or theft of personal belongings. Participants are liable for damage caused to Studio property.
Participants confirm that they are physically and mentally fit to take part in physical activity. Any pain, illness, pregnancy, or medical condition must be reported to the instructor before the start of each class. The Studio reserves the right to refuse participation if safety concerns arise.
Entry into the studio is permitted no earlier than 5 minutes before class starts. Lessons begin punctually; late entry may not be possible once class has started. Participants are expected to maintain cleanliness, turn off mobile phones, and behave respectfully toward others.
Occasionally, photos or short videos may be taken during classes for the Studio’s website or social media. Participants who do not wish to appear in such materials must inform the Studio in writing before participating. No compensation is provided for use of such images.
If any provision of these GTC is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid. The invalid provision will be replaced by one that best reflects the intended meaning.
All contractual relationships are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Lucerne, Switzerland.
